Kuril Islands - it peaks and ridges of large underwater ridge. They stretch more than 1,000 km from the coast of Kamchatka to the island of Hokkaido. The Kuril Islands depression is one of the deepest depressions of the world ocean - more than 10 km . If you could dry the ocean, then islands would rise over the depression higher than the highest mountain in the world. On the islands are located 68 volcanoes, 36 of which are active. They include more than 30 major islands and numerous small islands and rocks. Volcanoes and the islands themselves - this is only the visible part of one of the deepest depressions of the world ocean - more than 10 km. The story about the Kuril Islands may be the subject of a separate presentation. 2 days we sailed along the Kuril Islands, admired the indescribable views and listened to stories of guides. I will show a few pictures of active volcanoes that we have seen from the ship, and a few views of a beauty which our ship was passing bу.
